Giphigayon sa Iligan ang ASEAN Conference for Physical Education nga adunay 300 ka delegado, diin 155 niini mga langyaw gikan sa walo ka mga nasud, ug ang JCI National Convention nga gitambongan og 500 ka mga delegado gikan sa lain-laing lugar sa nasud ug sa gawas sa nasud.
Sumala ni Darwin Manubag, ang City Administrator, nga mapakusog niini ang Meeting, Incentives, Conventions and Events (MICE).
Tumong sa pagpakusog sa MICE mao ang pag-professionalize ug pag-standardize sa event management ug kapabilidad sa siyudad. Kung kanunayon nga bisitahon ang Iligan, mapalambo niini ang ekonomiya pinaagi sa mga positibong feedback nga ihatag sa mga bisita ug delegado sa siyudad.
